Terms of Service

These terms apply when you play Murder Manor: Whodunit ("the game"), run by the Murder Manor team ("we", "us"). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.

1. Using the game

• The game runs inside Discord, so you must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and meet Discord's minimum age.
• The game is free to play. We may change, pause or stop the game, or any part of it, at any time.

2. Play fair and be kind

You agree not to:

• cheat, use bugs or exploits to get an advantage, or interfere with other players' games;
• try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the game, or get into its servers without permission;
• give rooms names that are offensive, hateful or sexual, or that advertise or link to anything;
• harass, threaten or impersonate other players.

We may remove rooms, or stop anyone who breaks these rules from playing.

3. Your content

Room names you choose are shown to other players, and for public rooms to anyone browsing rooms. You are responsible for them. Your Discord name and avatar stay yours; by playing, you let us show them to the other players in your games.

4. Our content

The game, including its name, artwork, board, cards and code, belongs to the Murder Manor team. You are welcome to stream the game and share videos and screenshots of it. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the game or its art.

5. No warranty

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

7. Privacy

How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

8. Not part of Discord

The game is an independent app that runs on Discord. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Discord Inc.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and announce important changes in our Discord server. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the updated terms.
